Gordon J. C. Bates
President/CEO

In 1994 under the name of Bates Management Corporation, the principal shareholder, Gordon J. C.
Bates began with an unincorporated company in the mid seventies in the accounting field. In 1999,
Gordon opened a division of the company dedicated to new media development titled Iconic Media.
With numerous years of experience in business management, accounting and software development, his
expertise is an invaluable asset to the company.

Nicholas R. O. Bates
Director of Development

Nicholas has been involved in the new media industry for ten years with a degree in Multimedia
Design & Communication as well as advanced programming. His experience in Website and Graphic Design,
Programming and Information Architecture is quite extensive. Nicholas utilizes these qualities to
professionally push the company to new lengths. With a background in the performing arts, particularly
magic, he brings the dynamic creativity and the team-based skills which are key in this type of industry.
Nicholas oversees all aspects of the site development from design to computer programming to
marketing.

Michelle L. Bates
Office Manager

Michelle works diligently to maintain Iconic Media's strict quality control guidelines. This entails account
management, project management, office administration and more. Michelle's position is a vital part of
ensuring that clients receive the absolute best in customer service.

H. Cameron Buchanan
Production Manager

Working in collaboration with Iconic Media for many years, Cameron Buchanan has joined the team.
His experience is sales, production management, copy writing and creative development are a very
important asset to the company. Following training in Multimedia Design & Communication in Calgary,
Cameron has been part of a number of projects and finally in January 2004 he moved to Victoria, BC
for additional orientation and production practices before moving to Alberta to lead the Alberta
Production Department.

Jamie Penner
Hosting and Server Support - Database Management

With years more than 20 years of experience in managing web and server technology, Jamie is in
charge of ensuring that our hosting services are the best they can be. As secure web server technology
is so important to our industry and providing our clients with the best possible hosting solutions, Jamie
was brought on board to ensure that those needs would be met.
